Sun City Music Festival Phase 1 of Line Up Announced

 

Since El Paso is my hometown I am pretty excited for the third installment of the Sun City Music Festival which is an annual electronic music festival which has been going on since 2011. With the first headliners being Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyke. Last year David Guetta, Knife Party, Flux Pavillion, and  Above and Beyond headlined the event, with a more variety of artists ranging from Zedd, Nicky Romero, Sander Van Doorn, to Gesaffelstein, MANDY, to house djs like Riva Starr and Umek. This year the headliners will be Armin once again, along with Steve Aoki, which has currently been headlining lots of festivals, Tiesto, and the Swedish youngster Alesso. With an attendance of over 12,000 people last year be expecting this festival to grow.

Best of 2012

The year 2012 has had a big impact on electronic music. Since several years back it had started breaking into the mainstream, but this year it was when electronic dance music was at its peak. From Djs getting kicked out of clubs for not playing hip hop, mainstream, or because they were playing “too futuristic music”. Lots of groovy new music was made this year. Groups being broken up like Crookers, or the swedish dudes, also get togethers like the Spice Girls on the Olympics. Also this year I, Armando, started this blog, in June to be exact.
